Sufi Budhal Faqeer was a sufi (Saint) Great poet of Shikarpur, Sindh, Pakistan.

He wrote his poetry in many languages ( Sindhi, Saraiki, Urdu ) also he use words of different languages. Sufi Budhal Faqeer first Book was published in December 1941 Written By Anand Ram Tutal Das Rajani.

Sufi Budhal Faqeer was born in 1865 AD in Village  (Bakhshu Unar) located in right side of Chohi Canal near Shikarpur, North Sindh, It was the time of British Colonisation. His Father Name is Abdul Wasih. It was the time of prosperity for people in farming, Abdul Wasih, was calm and humble nature, he was childless

One day a bare-feet Faqeer came at his door and told him that need not to worry, very soon you will have a son. Give him the Name ” BUDHAL ” after one year, SUFI BUDHAL FAQEER came into this world, he was only son of Abdul Wasih.

Sufi Budhal Faqeer used to say that when railways tracks in Shikarpur, Sindh were laid in 1883 and English men set up their tents near Zarkheel road, he was at the age of 18. So with this tradition, the year of his birth is considered 1865.

Sufi Budhal Faqeer was the only child of parent, he learnt worldly and religious knowledge from his father Abdul Wasih. He used to go to fields with animals and spend his time in meditation under the shade of tree. He used to sing there.

Sufi Budhal Faqeer, was given domestic animals for herding. He was never interested in this job, some times he would sleep in jungle near by and animals would be on their own grazing in the fields
